Like Pastor Steve said, "God has a plan for His life", and apparently He let these two individuals in on it. I think it's phenomenal what they're doing for Christ lifting Him higher and glorifying HIm through their music. Allowing them to fulfill His sovereign will and proclaiming His word to all those who are preordain to hear His magnificent Gospel. It's crazy how Lacrae and Trip Lee can incorporate so much truth in their music but only have a few minutes to articulate through their songs.

With Facebook you're one click away of knowing someone's entire life situation because that person doesn't use discernment when loading inappropriate pics to their profile or posting something that really shouln't have been posted. We're died to the law, meaning, we're died to sin and the law is now under us not the other way around as John Piper was telling us. New birth is the writing of the law on the heart. Incredible! It's really true.
You honestly have to be careful with what you listen to.
Music touches people because the lyrics, the music, and especially the emotion it gives.
People might hear a song at a time when the world around them is crashing, and that song gives the listener a connection to the song/singer. Suddenly the listener is living by that song. The song is depressing and the listener instead of relying on God and having faith and believing everything will get better, they lose touch with the situation making everything only worse around them.
The same can go for any situation.
Heartbreak, tragedy, even small things. Hey, even the good times!
Music is powerful.
Music was made to praise God.
But, like many thing that are for God, they've been made corrupt, to better "fit the world" or "give what the people want"
People want a feel good moment, a moment where they feel sometype of fufillment.
Just a moment. Instead of seeking an eternal fulfillment.
Sometime you might hear a song that isnt exactly the best thing to listen to, but its catchy, and you find yourself singing a small part, then eventually the whole song, and then eventually following the ideaology the song is portraying or the artist conveys.
Thats just what the world, and i'd hate to say media, because its so typical and overblamed, but its exactly how it is.
Small songs or bits of songs that creep into our minds, challenge what we believe and think, and slowly or radically change our stand.
We have to be careful to what we expose ourselves to.

I know i can say it from personal experience.

Hi, I came across your post and am not sure if you are familiar with the history surrounding 25th December? It is likely this date was steeped in pagan idolatry and initially had nothing to do with the Creator that we worship or His Son's birth.

From what I've read, during December, it's winter time in Israel and the shepherds will not be out on the fields with the sheep, so it is not possible that the Son was born in the December winter.

If you check in wikipedia on the history of Christmas itself, here is an excerption:

"The Christmas tree is often explained as a Christianisation of pagan tradition and ritual surrounding the Winter Solstice, which included the use of evergreen boughs, and an adaptation of pagan tree worship."

Jeremiah 10:2 - 6 seems to speak about the Christmas tree.

How is it possible that most Christians nowadays are celebrating a pagan tradition and attribute it to the Son? Most likely it's from Constantine and the Roman Catholic Church, the people as a whole were pagans and worshipping the Sun as their god, and at that time Christianity was outlawed, Constantine was a Sun worshipper and he made Christianity legal, and it seems that he merged the worships of the sun with our Creator, which He abhors (as we see in Jeremiah, and in many other Scriptures saying that He is the only One to be worshipped).

For more information, you can have a look at www.eliyah.com, from my knowledge, it tries to be close to truth as possible with Scriptures.

God is the one who saved me. He died just because he knew I would need saving and grace to walk on this earth. God is my one true friend, father and love. No one comes before him. God is the king who rules above all. God is the one thing that leaves me in awh. When I think about God I can only think of things that bring me tears and great joy. He created the flowers that smell so sweet in spring and leaves that burst of beautiful colors in the fall. None, but him could create the mountains and the oceans and the sky that stretch to limits that not one eye can see. God is marvelous, overwhelming and all together holy.
