Not the King of the Jungle but Judah

Isaiah 31:4 Says "... As a lion or a young lion growls over his prey, and when a band of shepherds is called out against him he is not terrified by their shouting or daunted at their noise, so the Lord of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its hill. "

When you feel that God is not listening or not paying attention to you, letting the world beat down on you. Or when you feel that he is not quick enough to your defense and leaving you hanging in need. Think on this verse. Remember that God is like a lion who hovers over life with his might and sovereignty. He is not moved or pressured by any man but like a lion when it is time to strike he will "come" and "fight".  He will always come to your aid just like Jerusalem but it will be in his time and by his will.

God will bring comfort and strength and he will be there in your time of need. But always remember that its not about our imperfect time frame (when we want it or "need" it) but it is in his perfect time frame. Trust in Him with all your heart and you will never be put to shame.

Thank you and may God cause you to have a deep hunger for the things of righteousness.

  1. That's the hard thing about it, we always want Him to rescue us right there and now but it doesn't work that way. It's according to His will and time; all we need to do is trust and put our faith in Him no matter what's going on in our lives. That's being faithful to our Lord.
